From Preci to Saint Eutizio Abbey

The route passes through cultivated fields, which alternate with lush forests of oak. Particularly interesting animals live in this area such as the elusive European wildcat, the deer - which can be seen at sunset grazing on the edge of the forest - and the woodpecker whose presence can easily be discovered thanks to the unmistakable drumming sound they make on tree trunks. Although not on this route, at the end of the excursion, a visit to the nearby Abbey of Eutizio is highly recommended. For centuries this abbey was the heart and soul of life and culture within this whole area.
