From Rubbiano to Capotenna

In this suggestive gorge, created by the powerful river Tenna, there seem to hover the shadows of ancient rituals of necromancy and magic, for which this extraordinary place was known in the Middle Ages. The sinister name of this location actually refers to the particularly savage and dramatic landscape, unique within the Park. The route follows the river to its source, in a mountain valley, displaying exceptional landscapes, which have been shaped by water. Continuing toward the Passo Cattivo one can reach the Cristo delle Nevi and then descend to the other side of the Sibillini (along the path E 8) arriving in Ussita, Castelsantangelo sul Nera or Visso. The route is very challenging, but since it is either a one way or same way return itinerary one can shorten its time as required.
